Stay out of my pocket Fast Eddie

Maybe not now, but soon!

It has started.

Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.

We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program.

Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.

To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.

Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:

It is registered

You are fingerprinted

You supply a current Driver's License

You supply your Social Security #

You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing

Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.

There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18.

They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.

If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family - pass this along.

Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on KHOW 630 a.m. in the morning. He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and "spring into action". Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the NRA.

This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.

This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not.

If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe. After working with convicts for 26 years I know this bill, if passed, would make them happy and in less danger from their victims.

Origins: On 10 May 2007, 16-year-old Chicago honor student Blair Holt was riding a bus to school when another teenager began firing a handgun in a gang-related attack. When Holt moved to shield a girl on the bus from the spray of bullets, he was himself hit in the abdomen and died.

At Blair Holt's funeral, Rep. Bobby Rush of Illinois (representing the state's First Congressional district) promised to honor Holt's memory by introducing a strong gun tracking bill in Congress. One month later, Rep. Rush introduced Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act to Congress, but it was referred to a subcommittee and languished there without ever having been voted upon. On 6 January 2009, Rush introduced essentially the same bill to Congress again as Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act of 2009 (H.R. 45).

In a nutshell, the Blair Holt bill would:
Prohibit possession of any handguns or any semiautomatic firearms that can accept detachable ammunition-feeding devices (excluding antiques) by anyone who has not been issued a firearm license.
Require all sales of those types of firearms to go through licensed dealers.
Direct the Attorney General to establish and run a federal record-of-sale system.
Require the possessors of firearms to secure them (by secure gun storage or safety devices) when they are kept in locales where children might be capable of gaining access to those firearms.
In order to be issued a firearm license under the provisions of the Blair Holt legislation, applicants would be required to submit the following information to the Attorney General:
a current, passport-sized photograph of the applicant that provides a clear, accurate likeness of the applicant
the name, address, and date and place of birth of the applicant
any other name that the applicant has ever used or by which the applicant has ever been known
a clear thumb print of the applicant, which shall be made when, and in the presence of the entity to whom, the application is submitted
with respect to each category of person prohibited by Federal law, or by the law of the State of residence of the applicant, from obtaining a firearm, a statement that the individual is not a person prohibited from obtaining a firearm
a certification by the applicant that the applicant will keep any firearm owned by the applicant safely stored and out of the possession of persons who have not attained 18 years of age
a certificate attesting to the completion at the time of application of a written firearms examination, which shall test the knowledge and ability of the applicant regarding:

the safe storage of firearms, particularly in the vicinity of persons who have not attained 18 years of age
the safe handling of firearms
the use of firearms in the home and the risks associated with such use
the legal responsibilities of firearms owners, including Federal, State, and local laws relating to requirements for the possession and storage of firearms, and relating to reporting requirements with respect to firearms
any other subjects, as the Attorney General determines to be appropriate
an authorization by the applicant to release to the Attorney General or an authorized representative of the Attorney General any mental health records pertaining to the applicant
the date on which the application was submitted
the signature of the applicant
(Contrary to the example e-mail quoted above, the bill would not require applicants to "submit to a physical and mental evaluation at any time of their choosing"; applicants would have to authorize the release of any existing mental health records. Also, the right of inspection to ascertain compliance with the law would apply

to "any place in which firearms or firearm products are manufactured, stored, or held, for distribution in commerce," not to ordinary households.)

Proponents of the Blair Holt bill maintain that it is not an attempt to ban or otherwise infringe on the constitutional right to own or carry guns; it would simply establish a system for registering and tracking the ownership of guns that are used illegally, similar to the system currently used for automobiles. Opponents of the bill maintain that it "focuses on the instruments of crime rather than on the criminals who use the instruments," and that, rather than targeting the criminal element, it "would simply further burden law-abiding people."

As was the 2007 version of Blair Holt's Firearm Licensing and Record of Sale Act, the current version has been referred to the House Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, and the fact that the bill does not have even a single co-sponsor makes it unlikely that it will ever be brought to a vote before Congress, much less passed. ESPN Outdoors correspondent Wade Bourne summed up the bill's chances of passage thusly:
So, how likely is the Blair Holt bill's chance for passage? Pro-gun activists are vigilant but don't seem overly worried about it. They point out that the bill's failure to attract co-sponsors is an indication of a lack of enthusiasm for it among other congressmen. They feel it is too far-reaching and repressive of gun owners' rights to merit serious consideration by a majority of Congress.

Lawrence Keane of the NSSF [National Shooting Sports Foundation] states, "If this bill passes, Democrats would likely lose (control of) their chamber in upcoming mid-term elections (2010). The leadership in the House knows that." Keane says some 80 million-plus U.S. citizens own firearms, representing nearly half the households in the nation. He believes that House Democrats will allow the Blair Holt bill to die in subcommittee rather than risk the ire of so many pro-gun voters.

THOUGHTS FROM LIBERAL CENTRAL

OMG! This cartoon is wonderful!

A week in review, as I sit in the heart of the liberal lion (NYC).

Why would anyone want to purchase a vehicle from GM or Chrysler. They used to be a part of the American dream but now a vision of Marxism. Pay attention while driving around, Obama bumper stickers on Honda's, Hyundai's and Kia's. Why don't you support the brand of your leader? The brands that have received billions of your tax dollars, a brand that has been bailed out because of poor business decisions. The other day I passed an Elantra (Hyundai) with a pro-union bumper sticker? It's kinda of like voting Ronald McDonald into the White House but you would rather eat a Junior Bacon Cheeseburger from Wendy's. Just doesn't make sense. From this time forward, I will not buy any GM or Chrysler related products, even though I own a Chevy truck. I will buy all aftermarket products related to my truck from now on. I tried to support the brand but they showed me no loyalty. And for all of you Obama voters that work in recreation manufacturing (campers, boats, ATVs etc) or construction trades what is going to pull your product, an electric car? I think not!

There was a movie in the 80's that resembles what is happening today. One of those long forgotten but truly a brilliant piece futuristic thought. Can you guess?
How about:

Here is a little piece that you might find interesting from Russia

BREAKING NEWS
Lessons of democracy from the USA

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

The time is coming!

If you are a farmer, rancher, truck driver, business owner or just a good, hard working American then it is time to revolt! Time for the Revolution. The Big 3, unions and banks are sucking up your hard earned tax dollars and have no intention of paying it back. In fact, the current administration was never going to have the money repaid. If we don't stand and fight now, I truly believe that we will be sucked into this vortex of lies and deception. It will become the everyday way of life. Stand up! Stand up now! Speak your mind! And fight for your freedom! Save your children from financial ruin.

Or.....

All of us hard working, self sufficient individuals and families move to a specific area of the US. A group of states that believe in individual rights, state sovereignty and the right to bear arms. A place were you keep what you earn. Isn't that what America (the land of the free) was supposed to be? Let the remaining fight over table scraps! Picture in your mind how the libs would survive. Maybe they can all take a ride on AF1 and redistribute the wealth. Lol.......

About had enough.......

Respect is almost gone.......

There are only a couple of things that really burn my ass:

1. Men that do not remove their hat or show honor during the national anthem.
2. Men that do not give up their seat for women who are standing.
3. Cheaters
4. Liars
5. Hipocriates
6. Cowards

I have been deeply thinking about the change of culture in this great nation over the past couple of days. Everything from my brothers service in the military to how respect and honor are being flushed down the drain. Last night I sat a parent oreintation meeting for my son's new school. While the principal was speaking, I had visions of home schooling in my head. I was clearly the minority in the crowd. Conservative, gun owner and probably the youngest. The principal is very wimpy. Not a leader, like the principals when I was a kid. My principals were strong and didn't take any crap from anyone. Kinda like Captain Woodrow F. Call.

Tonight, at my son's choir concert, men sat in their chairs while ladies had to stand in the aisles. Truly pissed me off! Augustus "Gus" McCrae would never have put up with that!

I would love nothing more than to take some of these liberal cowards in our government and society and send them back in time. Maybe to Hat Creek Cattle Company and Livery Emporium in the small dusty Texas border town of Lonesome Dove. Let Gus and Call show them how it's done.

Everyone wants to talk about the guns!

Everyone wants to talk about the guns going into Mexico, but nobody is talking about the drugs that are coming into the US. It's a fairly simple process: 1. Anyone in almost any community can acquire some sort of illegal substance. 2. The profit from these sales are distributed through a complex network of money laundering and returned to the drug lords in Central and South America. 3. The drug lords use the laundered money to produce more drugs and buy services (people) and devices (guns) to protect their investment. Repeat steps 1,2 & 3. Simple supply chain.

The media and federal government has decided to target Guns! Based off of emotion. Why not use logic and target the root of the problem, Drugs! Or even better (and less expensive to combat) cut off the supply of cash heading South!

The Stars at Night are Big and Bright.......Deep in the Heart of Texas

Let's hear it for the Lone Star State!

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1656315/will_texas_secede_from_the_united_states.html

Please Texas! be the first to succeed from the union. Have the courage to step up so that other states may follow.

WICHITA FALLS, TX—Calling it an essential step toward securing the Texas border and protecting his people's way of life, Gov. Rick Perry announced Tuesday the completion of a 1,953-mile wall designed to keep out millions of unwanted Americans.

According to Perry, the 75-foot-high barricade running along the northern boundary is the culmination of more than 160 years of escalating tensions between Texas and the United States.

Let's go shopping! Huh? At the National Mall!!!

Is socialism any better? How about communism! That really worked! Why aren't people protesting about how liberty and freedom is being flushed down the toilet!

Those of you out there willing and ready to cast the first stone against the private industry (capitalism) you might want to educate yourself about the corrupt activities of your elected officials. You will quickly learn that this economic mess that we are experiencing was the result of government puppet mastering with private industry at the end of the string. When I say government, I'm not referring just to the current administration, this has been brewing since the early 1990's. Thanks Bill!

What you can expect over the next few months/year. One, government will be promoted as the answer to solve most of the complex social and financial issues. Two, government will become the most educated and experienced medical provider in history. Three, you will experience a bounce in your finacial situation(in some way shape or form) due to the stimulus package(s). Everything will be great! Yeah!

Let me put this in teenager terms. Government will build a new mall for you, a brand new large, shiny, vibrant complex. Inside it will have a grocery, pharmacy, clothing retailers, auto dealership and even urgent care. Everything that you need, one-stop shopping, everything under one roof. Now for the good part, you only have to give 70% of your allowance (paycheck) to be able to access this wonderful facility. The other 30% is yours and feel free to do spend it anywhere. The only problem is the stores in this new mall suck! The clothes are made of wool and come in two colors: Blue and Grey. The grocery has only flour, rice and milk. The pharmacy only has a couple of medicines, asprin and penicilin. The doctors in the urgent care look and act like zombies. And lastly, the auto dealership has two cars, a hybrid in black and an electric in white.

Still want me to drop you off at the mall on Saturday?

Goose Bumps

February 6, 2009

Just got back from Philadelphia. My son and I had a chance to visit some of the awesome sights in the historic downtown area. Independence Hall, City Tavern, Liberty Bell and Ben Franklin's Post Office. We took the 12:15 tour of Independence Hall and our tour guide was Thomas Daniels.

Thomas told a very passionate story of our Founding Fathers, it really sent chills down my spine. I wonder how many times he has told that story? There we were, standing a few feet from the very spot were the Declaration of Independence was voted upon. Truly amazing!

Every citizen should visit this wonderful place and hear what Thomas has to say.

Drawing a line!

This is were I draw the line. Those of us that believe in freedom of speech, press and religion should be packing our bags for Washington.

I was going to be somewhat tolerant about the liberal agenda but mess with my freedom of speech and guns, watch out!

For those of you who support this wacky idea, you should reflect on the sacrifices that your ancestors have made. Everyday you pass or talk to someone who has served this nation proudly and defended the freedoms that our Founding Fathers provided for us. Do you not realize that if you support this idea that you are spitting in the face of us veterans. What if it is your brother, sister, dad, mom or cousin? Some families have made the ultimate sacrifice, are you going to spit in their face? Are you willing to go that far?

In the words of Hank Williams Jr: I got a shotgun, rifle and a four wheel drive! It's heading eastbound toward Washington, it seats six. Anybody want a ride?

Is it time?

For those of us that remain, is it time to circle the wagons? For those of us that believe in government fiscal responsibility, is it time to load our guns and stand for what we believe? Is this the reason why the Founding Fathers authored the Second Amendment? To protect ourselves from an invasive and intrusive federal government?

Do you have the balls, like the great founders of this country, to stand up for your God given rights? To stand up for Freedom, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.

The size of government has been growing at a historic rate for the past 10 years and it is about to grab us with its iron fist. For those who supported the Bush Stimulus package, and those who support the new BHO Stimulus package what is your reasoning? Isn't your freedom more precious than a handout?

I am ready to defend the great Constitution! I am ready and willing to sacrifice it all for the future of my children. Are you? If we don't act now our children will have to carry the weight of the largest debt in human history on their shoulders.

For those of you that believe that the government is the answer to all of our promblems, please post your comments and describe a successful government program. I look foward to your thoughts.

The definition of deficit.....

Straight from the dictionary:

def⋅i⋅cit

1. the amount by which a sum of money falls short of the required amount.
2. the amount by which expenditures or liabilities exceed income or assets.
3. a lack or shortage; deficiency.
4. a disadvantage, impairment, or handicap: The team's major deficit is its poor pitching.
5. a loss, as in the operation of a business.

Straight from the horses mouth:

Gov. David Paterson of New York said 43 states now have budget deficits totaling some $100 billion as tax revenues plunge.

"It's clear that the federal government needs to step in and jump-start the economy," said Gov. Deval Patrick of Massachusetts.

Straight from my mouth:

This has been probably the toughest year for me and my family. My wife lost her job in December 2007 and it hasn't been the same since. I'm not blaming anyone for our hardships and I'm not asking for any government bailout. My point is; we had to cut back! Put on the brakes! Circle the wagons! We didn't spend our way out of a personal recession!

We are actually looking for ways to reduce household expenses. The thermostat stayed on 63 this winter, my daughter is learning to sew, we planted a garden this past summer and have plans to triple it in size and I'm learning to hunt. We are also contemplating on turning off cable and our telephone, keeping the Internet as our source of entertainment and communications.

We are the prime example of spending money and not saving enough during the good times. So how can spending more (money that we don't have) improve our situation? I'm confused, anyone care to help me on this one?

What do you plan to do in 2009? How are you going to make a difference?
